At rest

Wednesday 26th November 2014
Not a great day today. Wandering around the estate today there was little to do as the grounds were still very damp. However, this small offering was just waiting to be caught. But yet again he was later set loose.

Monday 17.11.2014
I went out hunting again in the early evening after dark and soon brought home a present which again was unappreciated! However, I will not give up. Here are a couple of pictures of my catch.

Thursday 13th November
I spent most of the day outside on a hunting trip. Not very much to find so returned for a bite to eat at about three in the afternoon. Tipsy stayed at home. That evening I set off again.
I eventually returned at two o'clock in the morning with my trophy
but it was not well received. They trapped it and put it outside before I had finished playing with it. Never mind at least it was fun while it lasted even if I did get told off for waking the household at that time of the night.

Back to normal
After a few days things have returned to normal. Hunting, sleeping and self-indulgence are our
main occupations at the present. After seeing the photographs of India I would
like to have gone there as the game appears very interesting. Animals such as chipmunks,
geckos and Mynah birds
would all arouse our instincts. We now just have to rely on the numerous species of local mice such as the one I brought in last night.

Back from holiday
Well, we are back!
Actually they are back from foreign parts and collected us from our
delightful prison, otherwise called a cattery.
It wasn’t all bad and we even caught a mouse while we were there. On the way back home we both let them know
how unkind they had been to abandon us for a fortnight which made them feel
very guilty. It is nice to be back home
again but our offering of a mouse left
by the bedstead for breakfast in bed was declined. We are preparing for winter now so I hope
they have lots of wood for the fire and plenty of food in case of snow.

It has been a busy year and now it is time for a
holiday. That actually means we get
imprisoned for two weeks whilst ‘they’ go off to India on a self-indulgent
trip! Well, it could be worse. Just to remind them we are here I brought in
a present with which they could play.
I
do not think they appreciated it much as they returned it outside. But I took a picture first.
